Mikayla Buckley, LMHC Intern
As an LMHC Intern, I am passionate about supporting the emotional well-being and growth of children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I approach each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect, working to create a safe and collaborative space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I am currently in the final year of my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College and am completing my clinical training at North Shore Clinicians Group. My therapeutic approach is often person-centered and strength-based while drawing from solution-focused strategies, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to best meet my clients’ needs. I also incorporate mindfulness practices and integrate a holistic perspective, recognizing the importance of addressing the mind, body, and environment together. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and the stressors that often accompany life transitions. I also have a specialized passion for working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, supporting both them and their families in navigating challenges while fostering growth and resilience.
At North Shore Clinicians Group, I provide counseling under the supervision of experienced clinicians, collaborating with clients, parents, caregivers, and other supports to ensure that progress made in therapy extends into daily life. With a warm and engaging style, I am dedicated to helping clients build resilience, strengthen self-esteem, and feel more grounded while developing the skills they need to thrive both emotionally and socially.
