Kevin Carty, LICSW

Owner & Clinical Director

As a clinical psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families across diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns. My work has focused on helping people navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, career changes, and life transitions. Through this process, clients have gained deeper insight into their experiences, built resilience in pursuing their goals, and developed more fulfilling and lasting relationships. I strive to create a warm, caring, and nonjudgmental environment that fosters trust and supports meaningful growth. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique needs, with the goal of breaking unhelpful patterns, building confidence, and empowering clients to achieve positive, lasting change.

I am extensively trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches and have also provided training to other clinicians. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Imago Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In addition, I have completed certification training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method.

Currently, I serve as the Clinical Director of North Shore Clinicians Group, where I oversee clinical development and training while continuing to provide direct care. My offices in both Peabody and North Andover offer a private, comfortable, and secure setting where clients can feel supported in their journey toward healing and growth.
